The Fairy Queen
2023 production
In collaboration with Les Arts Florissants
Inspired by A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Fairy Queen draws on Shakespeare’s comedy to create a funny, fairytale tale that, more than 300 years after its creation, never ceases to amaze. With William Christie’s celebrated orchestra Les Arts Florissants, now led by Paul Agnew, Mourad Merzouki signs his first collaboration for an opera bringing together musicians, singers and dancers around this joyful fable. A total operatic experience, resolutely young and new, where the art of yesterday meets the art of today, to the delight of the senses !
