Compagnie KÄFIG

Cartes Blanches

2016 Production

An anniversary performance, celebrating in movement 20 years of history.

Cartes Blanches was created for the company’s 20th anniversary (1996-2016). It was designed to be a friendly meeting place for several dancers who have defined Käfig’s history. The show is set in a cozy living room with period furniture and the artists join one another on stage to relate an extraordinary adventure, through the memory of bodies and in total simplicity. Mourad Merzouki has used this anniversary to look back down the road he has traveled and pay tribute to those who experienced it with him.
